North Carolina Central University Dr. LeRoy T. Walker 3rd Annual Track & Field Awards Weekend "Passing the Baton: Where Past Meets Present For a Promising Future"

The North Carolina Central University Track & Field program cordially
invites all former Track & Field student-athletes, family and friends to
the 3rd annual Track & Field Banquet. This exciting event will take place
April 21 - 22, 2017. Our theme is “PASSING THE BATON: WHERE PAST MEETS
PRESENT FOR A PROMISING FUTURE”. This is an annual event to support
the NCCU Track & Field program and the student-athletes with scholarship
and operational dollars.
The weekend activities include:

We will celebrate and honor our past National and International
champions. The 2017 honorees will include:
*Vance Robinson - 1959 member of the US Pan American Games team
We will have a special silent auction for all participants!
Our Special Guest Speaker will be Steve Simmons - Vice President of
AccuSplit Inc.

have a good time! Snacks will be provided.
*Melvin Bassett - 1972 NAIA 400M Hurdles champion
*Robert Ouko - 1972 Olympic 800M Finalist and 4x400M Gold medal relay winner
*Hakeem Muhammed - 2006 NCAA 400M Division-11 Champion
*Christopher Davis - 2007 NCCA Division 11 60 meter dash champion

 

The purpose of this event is to share with our former & current NCCU
Track & Field student-athletes, friends and supporters, our Ten-Year
Plan for the following:
The Mission Statement of the NCCU Track & Field Committee is:

 

1. To initiate and assist in initiatives that will support the NCCU
Track & Field Program, and its student-athletes, in obtaining
maximum team and individual performance in college
competition.


2. To enhance the legacy of program founder and architect
Dr. LeRoy T. Walker by educating the public of his legendary
contributions to the sport of track & field, to the university and
society as a leader and educator.

Single Seats- $75.00 ($32 tax deductible)
Dr. LeRoy T. Walker VIP Table - $3,0000.00 (10 per table) ($2,570 tax deductible)
Platinum VIP Table - $1,500.00 ($1,070 tax deductible)
Patron Table - $750.00 ($320 tax deductible)

room rates for this event will be $109.00 base rate (not including tax or any
