The Founders of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. recognized scholarship as a critical component of intellect and excellence in the advancement of humankind. This belief was central to the adoption of our organization's Cardinal Principles: Manhood, Scholarship, Perseverance, and Uplift. We hold scholarship in the highest esteem and are committed to upholding this ideal by reaching back and helping others succeed in higher education.

Charles R. Drew Memorial Scholarship

Every member, chapter, and district of the Fraternity is dedicated to scholarship. Thus, the Dr. Charles R. Drew Memorial Scholarship Commission was formed to give international recognition to future leaders of society and to foster scholastic achievement in the Fraternity through several goals that you can find on our international website.

Brother John H. Scott Scholarship

The Beta Phi Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. is committed to uplifting the community by supporting qualifying students in their pursuit of higher educational goals. Our chapter offers scholarship awards that range from $500 to $1000. The awards are open to all BIPOC males who are graduating high school seniors and plan to attend an accredited college or university. Awards will be made payable to the student in two equal installments upon verification of college enrollment for the Fall and Spring Semesters.

Talent Hunt Scholarship

The Talent Hunt Competition provides a platform for High School students to showcase their musical talent and win scholarships. The winner of the competition will also have a chance to compete at the 6th District Annual Meeting.

Bridge Builder Scholarship

The Beta Phi Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. is committed to uplifting the community by supporting qualifying students in their pursuit of higher educational goals. Our chapter is currently offering a Bridge Builder Scholarship Award in the amount of $1911. This award is open to all graduating high school seniors attending Hillside High School located at 3727 Fayetteville Rd., Durham, NC 27707. There is no GPA requirement. This scholarship is intended to honor students whom are committed to education, leadership, and making a difference in their communities.

Dr. Carlos Privette Scholarship

Dr. Carlos J. Privette, a proud native of Durham, NC, established this scholarship to give back to the community that shaped him. With a passion for education and service, he aims to support a deserving minority student pursuing a career as a Physician, Dentist, or PA.
